Reaching New Heights
Kieron MacKenzie is well-respected in the outdoor industry and a very experienced Mountaineer with a successful Everest expedition included in his portfolio, as well as many other overseas expeditions. He will give a talk on his successful ascent of the North Ridge of the World's highest mountain and we hope that you can attend.
Kieron is donating his time for free to help Team Smidge raise funds for St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh, as part of their Celtic Challenge, a 200 mile cycle from Edinburgh to Iona in May.
Join Kieron as he takes us on his journey from Scotland to Tibet and a few points in between and help raise funds for what is a fantastic cause.
Doors open at 6.30 pm, aiming for a 7.15 pm start and approx. 9 pm close (although the venue remains open until 1 am). There will be a cash bar and it is an over 18's event. Tickets can be bought on the door (£10) or why not avoid disappointment and book them ahead of time? With the exception of a small booking fee, all proceeds go to St. Columba's Hospice.
In addition to the talk, a raffle will be held, including a range of great prizes for the outdoor enthusiast, including:
-Donations of great bits of kit (rucksacks, stoves etc) from some of the UK's top outdoor stores (incl. Tiso, Craigdon and New Heights)
-VIP tickets for the Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William (June)
