MEGAN MULLALLY & NICK OFFERMAN in Summer of 69: No Apostrophe
Mark Cortale proudly presents MEGAN MULLALLY who won two Emmy Awards playing Karen Walker on Will & Grace and NICK OFFERMAN, who played Ron Swanson on the hit NBC series Parks and Recreation. Mullally & Offerman who are married in real-life will star in "Summer of 69: No Apostrophe" for one performance only on August 29 as part of the inaugural season of Broadway @ The Performing Arts Series on Martha's Vineyard. This series will help raise funds for The Tyler Clementi Foundation.
In Summer of 69: No Apostrophe Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally are yanking the britches right off of their marriage, exposing the salacious details of their fiery union for all the world to enjoy, featuring songs, funny talking, heavy ribaldry, light petting and an astonishing final act of completion. The accomplished entertainers have also won multiple awards including a Television Critics Association Award for Achievement in Comedy and two Critics Choice Television Awards for Offerman and two Emmy Awards and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Megan Mullally. Having worked together extensively on screen and stage, the duo is perhaps best known for their portrayal of a passion that dare not be named, as Ron and Tammy 2 in NBCs Parks and Recreation.
Megan Mullally is best known for playing the iconic role of Karen Walker on the groundbreaking hit TV series Will & Grace for which she won two Emmy Awards. She made her Broadway debut as Marty in the 1994 revival of Grease with Rosie O'Donnell and appeared as Rosemary in the hit 1995 revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opposite Matthew Broderick. In 2007, Mullally starred as Elizabeth in Mel Brooks' original Broadway musical, Young Frankenstein. She has also been seen on TV this season in the critically acclaimed NBC series You, Me and the Apocalypse as Chief on two-time Emmy-winning comedy series Childrens Hospital and as Lydia on Party Down. She has appeared frequently on Parks and Recreation as Tammy Two, Bobs Burgers and Web Therapy among others.
Nick Offerman most recently starred as Ron Swanson on NBCs Parks and Recreation. Off Broadway he has been seen in Adding Machine at The Minetta Lane Theater. His other TV credits include Axe Cop, Childrens Hospital, Will & Grace, Deadwood, George Lopez, ER, American Body Shop, and 24. Film work includes Casa De Mi Padre, 21 Jump Street, All Good Things, Men Who Stare At Goats, Somebody Up There Likes Me, Harmony and Me, The Kings of Summer, Were The Millers, LEGO, and 22 Jump Street. His first book, Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Mans Fundamentals for Delicious Living, reached #8 on the New York Times Best Seller list.
