A Tribute Dinner celebrating Julia Child's 100th Birthday
Celebrate Julia Child's 100th birthday at an exclusive dinner hosted by the Phoenix Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier International* at Quiessence at the Farm at South Mountain on August 15, 2012, at 7 p.m.
Enjoy a cocktail reception followed by a four-course dinner prepared by Chef Greg LaPrad, served family-style with wine in the charming setting of Quiessence.
Chef Greg LaPrad will recreate recipes from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking and noted pastry chef Tracy Dempsey will create a special birthday cake in honor of Julia.
Your Dame hosts will share the history behind the dishes as well as personal memories about the Grand Dame who changed the way America cooks. Take home a menu book filled with recipes and memorabilia from Julia's extraordinary life.
Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships for the Arizona chapter of C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Programs), which provides culinary training for high school students.
Tickets to this event are limited and will sell out, so please make your reservations quickly to be part of this special occasion.
