John Kaizan Neptune Playing Japanese Shakuhachi flute at Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Santa Cruz May 28th, 7:30 PM
In a special fundraising concert for the Japanese Culture Fair of Santa Cruz, John Kaizan Neptune will perform - playing the Japanese Shakuhachi flute creating amazing, Japanese, mixed-cultural, jazz and fusion music.
John Kaizan Neptune is among the top masters of the Shakuhachi, who has expanded the possibilities of the Japanese shakuhachi flute to embrace the realms of Jazz and fusion. Akira Ebato
John will be accompanied by renowned Japanese musical artists who will bring the influence of percussion, Taiko, Koto and Shamisen collaborative sounds by Robert Belgrade, Shirley Muramoto, Eien Hunter-Ishikawa and Kyle Abbott.
