THE STORY:

Its senior year and Alexis has one goal and one goal only to get into Princeton. Her plan is simple. Achieve perfection, which she plans to do by joining every club, sport and socially aware activity available on campus while keeping a 4.5GPA; scoring perfectly the SAT & ACT; and writing the ultimate college essay. As the stress begins to take its toll, her inner voices battle to see who will send her down the best path, while her two best friends plan an intervention to save her from herself.

MEET THE CAST OF REACH: THE MUSICAL (in alphabetical order):

Irelinn Dalton has been involved in drama since 7th grade at Mesa Middle School. Her favorite roles include The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and a Pick-a-Little Lady in Music Man. Upon graduation in a few years, Ireline plans on attending Cuesta College and then transferring to Cal Poly to earn her degree in education with an emphasis in music so she can become a music or drama teacher.  

Zoe Forester is a 6th grader at Harloe Elementary and very excited to be a part ofReach- with lines and everything! Zoe has sung in many talent shows and performed wit h the Central Coast Follies at the Clark Center. She loves riding horses and hopes to be a singer and a vet when she grows up.

Jordan Fries is just a guy who aspires to do a lot in life. He has participated in the theatre performances, Addams Family, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Cheaper by the Dozen, and more. Jordan wishes to pursue a career in film.

River Goodman is a junior at Nipomo High School and has been involved in drama for twelve years. Some of her favorite productions were the movie The Treasure of San Hemento, which was filmed at the Romana Bowl in Riverside. She also enjoyed being on stage in Annie Get Your Gun, The Jungle and School House Rock.  After high school, River hopes to attend PCPA's actor-training program or maybe become a pediatric surgeon instead. Only time will tell!

Claire Gretlein is a freshman at Nipomo High School, and has been performing for as long as she can remember. Claire has previously been in productions with the SLO Opera, SLO Little Theatre, and with Mesa Drama. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of a new musical. Lastly, Claire would like to thank her wonderful directors and cast for making this show come to life.

Carley Herlihy is a senior at Nipomo High School and has been involved in the theater department all four years. Her last role was as Sally Brown inYou're A Good Man Charlie Brown. Also, this year, she played Tansy inThe Nerd. Carley's role of Alexis will be her last as a high school student. Being apart of an original piece is a new and exciting experience for Carley. She couldn't of ask for a better production to end her high school career with.

Hayden Lacey was recently seen in the NHS production ofMedea,which he auditioned for the first day he arrived on campus from Nebraska, where he was active in the drama productions. His interests include: playing soccer, board games (like Settlers of Catan and Risk), cooking, and making a complete fool at of himself. Haydenhad such a great time working with the kind, fun cast of Medea and felt it was an amazing way to come into this school.

Nicholas Houchin is currently a sophomore at Nipomo High School. He loves to act, and youmay or may not seen him already this year in play such asThe Nerdas Willum, andYou're aGood Man Charlie Brownas Charlie Brown. He has found the experience of being in a playthat is in progress to be a great one, and he hopes that all of this effortWill be fruitful for a play that you enjoy.

Ross Kesselring is a Junior at CCNTH who has been an active member of Nipomo Drama for 5 years. He is a captain of the co-school improv troupe, and a player in Metchik's independent Theatre troupe, The Next Generation. You may know him as Schroeder fromCharlie Brownor Toad fromFrog and Toad. Ross wants to thank this wonderful cast and creative team for putting so much hard work into creating something new! He hopes to study Theatre at Southern Oregon University in Ashland.

Luchia King is a senior at nipomo high school and has been in the drama class for three years. Drama and performance have been her passions for her whole life, and she hopes that it is visible in her performance for you tonight. After high school Luchia plans on attending the Pacific Conservatory Theatre (PCPA) to further her education in the performing arts.

Kanani Neel is a senior this year and is very excited to be graduating, but she will also miss performing with so many wonderful people here at Nipomo! This will be her 5th and final show with The NHS Theatre Company, with previous ones beingHigh School Musical, Decision Height, A Year with Frog and Toad, andChildren's Hour. She is also a part of the NHS Dance Company and has also done shows at the Clark Center for the company. She is very excited to be a part of a brand new production and hopes you all enjoy it! After she graduates she would like to be a performer at Disneyland and go to film school to become a cinematographer.

Alejandra Nunez is 14 years old and a freshmen at Nipomo highschool. This is her secondyear doing drama & theater and she still loves it as much as the first time she tried it in 7th grade. She also likes cooking and drawing. She's been in two other play's so farCinderellaand Wizard of Oz. Aly hopes to one day have a career as an actress.

This is Sophia Prado's third year with Nipomo High's drama program, with her favorite part so far being inHigh School Musical. Beforethat she performed in shows at Mesa Middle School, where she was inThe Nifty Fifties, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Charlotte's Web and Guys and Dolls,as well asthe high school'sBest of the Best. She loves everything Disney and collecting American Girl dolls.Sophialoves drama because she likes learning to perform andbeing in the shows is fun.After graduating next year she hopes to attend FIDM in Los Angeles to learn fashion design.

Eric Queszada is a freshman at Nipomo High school and is very excited to be part of the very first production of the wonderful showReach. He is 15 years old and has been in a few shows put on by Mesa Drama. Those shows consist ofTom Sawyer, The Music Man, andThe Wizard of Oz. He wishes to be part of many other shows with the Nipomo Theater. He has thought of being an actor when he grows up, but he really wants to be a lawyer and make a difference in people's lives.

Mandie Richardson is a 2016 midterm graduate of Nipomo High School, and she is beyond excited to originate the role of Yin inReach. This is her second year being involved in the drama program, and she has loved every minute of it. Some of her recent adventures have included performing in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland with NHS Drama, and co-directing an adaptation of the Greek tragedyMedea. This is her first time acting on the stage this year, and it will also be the last. Being in drama has completely changed the course of her life, and Mandie will now be pursuing theater as a career. She will be attending the American Musical and Dramatics Academy in Hollywood starting in Fall of 2016, a.k.a. her dream university. She dreams about being a star!

Taylor Robertson has loved to perform ever since she was a little girl. She has danced for 12 years. Taylor also loves to talk in front of people whether it's in an FFA public speaking contest or in a drama performance. The last role she has had in a drama performance was the wicked witch in Mesa Drama's production ofThe Wizard of Oz. Taylor was made to be on stage and can't wait to be in Wendy- Marie's amazing new production. It is an honor to be a part of this adventure that she will never forget.

Claire Scattini has been involved in theater since she was 5 years old. She is now a junior at Nipomo high school and has done 8 shows with the company thus far. Claire is happy to be in her second show with Wendy Marie and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed being in it.

Carmen Smithis a junior at Central Coast New Tech High School, and Reach is the very first NHS Drama production she's been a part of. However, she has had some history in acting, with her school's Mock Trial team. In her free time, she enjoys writing short stories and sketching small comics. After she graduates from high school, she wishes to attend Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, and then University of Texas in Austin.

Jennifer Soares is a senior at Nipomo high school who has been performing and even done tech for shows since she was around 7 years old. She has been involved in many NHS theatre performances since she was 12 years old. She is extremely excited to be taking on the role as Taylor, Alexis's best friend, who just so happens to be played by her own best friend!
Kaylin Stewart is a senior at Central Coast New Tech High. She is thrilled to be playing Yang in her tenth and final performance with the NHS Drama Department. Her previous roles include Lucy inYou're a Good Man Charlie Brownand Norma Jean inDecision Height. Next year she will continue her love for the arts at Chapman University where she will major in Creative Producing.

Jaz Vega is a Junior here at NHS and has been in shows such asHigh School Musical, A Year With Frog and Toad, and has most recently played Amelia Tilford inThe Children's Hour. She is honored to be a part of this show and has learned so much from this amazing cast and crew. After graduation she hopes to attend PCPA and continue on in theatre.

Alex Tippitt is a freshman at Nipomo high and loves to perform! She has been acting since 7th grade and has fallen in love with it. She has gotten the opportunity to play Cinderella in Cinderella, Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, and many more at Mesa Middle School. She was also inBest of the Bardfor Nipomo, and High School Musical. Alex has had an amazing beginning journey to her acting career and hopes to make so many more memories! She wants to thank Wendy-Marie for this amazing experience and hopes everyone loves the show as much as she does!

Chloe Wasil is a sophomore at Nipomo High School. She is beyond stoked to have the opportunity to be a part of the creation of a brand new musical! She loves everyone in the cast with all of her heart and hopes you enjoy watching the show as much as she enjoys performing it. You may have recently seen Chloe as Clelia Waldgrave inThe Nerdor as Snoopy inYou're A Good Man Charlie Brownthis year with Nipomo High School. When Chloe grows up, she hopes to study theatre And then spend her life completely immersed in it.

Joel Wadlow is a junior at CCNTH and is thrilled to be a part ofReach! You may have seen him as Franklin inYou're a Good Man Charlie Brownor Lizard/Father Frog inA Year with Frog and Toadat Nipomo! He's done LittleShop of Horrors (Audrey 2), Peter Pan (Indian), Snoopy (Snoopy), High School Musical(Zeke) and much more! He hopes to study Interior Design and attend The Interior Design Institution in College. Enjoy the show!

CassieWaters is a freshman at Central Coast New Tech High School. She last played Marcie in CCNTH/Nipomo's production ofYou're a Good Man Charlie Brown. She loves musical theater and plans to study film-making after high school.
