Atwood's 10th Anniversary feat. The Silks & Dwight Ritcher Trio

Atwood's Tavern is turning 10 so we're throwing a week long party with some of our favorite musicians.

Of course the one glimmer of hope for rocks future fate is placed squarely upon the local scene, safely removed from the cynical reach of corporate greed and focus groups. And its right here in Providence where bands like The Silks are emerging to steady the course and reinstate dominance. Don DiMuccio

He has a voice which invites unique connection to a song. His phrasing is understated, warm and moving, but at a turn, dynamically proud and powerful. While consumed with songwriting, Dwight Ritcher finds so much artistry in the moment of interpretation. response from an artist on the brink of national attention.
While at school in Vermont studying English, his keyboard playing lead him to form a guitar/fender rhodes duo that went on the play major Jazz and Blues festivals in New England. He later switched to guitar as his full-time instrument after falling in love with the playing of Albert King, Charlie Christian and Django.
