Rarely if ever performed, OTHO THE GREAT by John Keats was written two years before the great British poet's untimely death due to tuberculosis at the age of 26. The play depicts the tragic fate of Otho's valiant, but hot-headed son, Ludolph, whose unfaithful lover and her scheming brother induce him to rebelling against his father and persecuting his innocent cousin. Frank Farrell's company will perform it re-named as THE DARK AGES: OTHO THE GREAT on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm from June 10 through 25, 2016, in the chapel at the Unity Lutheran Church, 1212 W Balmoral Ave, Chicago, IL 60640.
