Atwood's 10th Anniversary feat. The Dennis Brennan Quatro plus Andrea Gillis Band
Atwood's Tavern is turning 10 so we're throwing a week long party with some of our favorite musicians.
Dennis Brennan has been nominated four times and has won two Boston Music awards for "Outstanding Roots Rock Band.
His songs have been aquired for use in films and television, notably the movies "Copland", "The Matthew Shepard Story","Clockwatchers", and "Loveland".
He and his band have just finished a nine month residency at Cambridge's legendary nightspot The Lizard Lounge.
The newest recording, "Engagement", featuring both live recordings and studio recordings, has now been released on the Hi & Dry label.
Andrea Gillis is a powerhouse singer who has been a staple of the Boston music scene for years, performing in such bands as Andrea Gillis Band, Other Girls, Red Chord, The Rudds. She's got the lungs of Tina Turner, the songwriting chops of Chrissie Hynde and the swagger of Mick Jagger. Her band has opened for Lee Fields, J. Geils, and more. She's performed the national anthem at historic Fenway Park before a Red Sox game, and is one of the original performers on the popular Tweed River Music Festival in Vermont.
Duke Levine will be special guest guitar player with both bands!!!
