Seward Park Audubon Center welcomes renowned culinary adventurer Langdon Cook to the Royal Room. This south Seattle resident and modern day forager has been profiled in Bon Appetit, WSJ magazine, Whole Living, and Salon.com. His writing appears in numerous magazines, newspapers, and online journals, including Terrain, Grays Sporting Journal, Eating Well, Outside, The Stranger, and Seattle Magazine, where hes a regular columnist.
Langdon Cook's 'Mushroom Hunter' garnered the 2014 Pacific Northwest Book Award, was named an Amazon Book of the Year, and was a finalist for the Washington State Book Award. In 'Mushroom Hunter' Langdon goes into the woods with the iconoclasts and outlaws who seek the world's most coveted ingredient . . . and one of nature's last truly wild foods: the uncultivated, uncontrollable mushroom.

This is part of Seward Park Audubon Center's Urban Naturalist Series connecting authors, artists and naturalists with the southeast Seattle community. Presented with support from the Mountaineers Foundation.
