The Tenth Annual Cabaret Cares Gala
The annual Cabaret Cares Gala will take place on May 15th at The Metropolitan Room. The monthly benefit series concludes with a Gala event that is going to be a Black and White Masquerade Ball. Guests will be asked to be dressed in Black and White cocktail and evening wear. This in the tenth anniversary of Cabaret Cares.
Cabaret Cares benefits Help Is On The Way Today, a non for profit organization that helps and assists children, youth and teens living with HIV and AIDS in New York City.
At the annual gala on May 15th at Metropolitan Room in New York City, Cabaret Cares/Help Is On The Way Today will honor a kindred organization, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with the Spirit Award, and a second Spirit Award has been designated for Cabaret Scenes editor and entertainer, Frank Dain. The 2016 Ruth Kurtzman Cabaret Cares Lifetime Achievement award honoree is Alyce Finell, co-director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation..
Cocktail Hour starts at 5:30 PM A Buffet Dinner will begin at 6:30 with a Live auction. 7:45 the Gala show will begin which will feature performances from performers over the past ten years. The evening will include unlimited Beer, Wine, Soda, and several specialty cocktails. As well as gift bags for everyone
