PIEL UK 2016 Conference: Climate talks after Paris: Beyond the Pledges
The 10th Anniversay PIEL UK conference will be discussing the Paris Agreement adopted at COP 21, the impacts of the pledges on the energy sector, carbon markets, and the role of public participation. Presenters, attendees and panelists include COP21 policy negotiators, academics, practitioners and NGOs.
The conference will commence in the morning with a welcome reception and a keynote address by Ms Kirsty Schneeberger, an advisor at the Office of the Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC and co-founder of Beautiful Corporations, speaking on the Paris Agreement, and the process of COP21 negotiations, while focusing on the three aspects: public participation, low carbon technologies and the carbon economy.
Lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee breaks. At the conclusion of the conference we will have a drinks reception.
