MEATHEAD GOES HOG WILD - East Coast Premiere
Cinedelphia Film Festival presents MEATHEAD GOES HOG WILD (East Coast Premiere) (2015, 103 min, Dir. Kevin Cline, Zach Harris, and Sean Pierce) Filmmakers in attendance!
As subversive and affecting as independent cinema gets, this first-time feature from a group of Chicago-area natives tackles the many annoyances and social ills of modern times while recalling the frustrated, but focused anarchy of Falling Down.
Getting fired from his job at a butcher shop is the last straw for a Chicago slacker who is already at his wit's end thanks to overly helpful parents and faulty modern conveniences like CrossFit and GrubHub. He impulsively steals the shop's inventory and decides to distribute it throughout the rougher areas of the city to mixed reactions. His good-natured yet off-kilter mission grows increasingly darker and more dangerous as the night goes on, climaxing in a scene of primal rage that represents the frustrations of modern youth. Official Selection of 2015 Fantasia Film Festival.
Screening with: "Walden Pink" (2016, 15 min, Dir. Peter Bolte) Walden Pink is a glimpse into the frustrating and melancholy life of a middle-aged man passing through a loop of daily confrontations. Starring David Yow (The Jesus Lizard) and Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers), score by Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle).
