Conjure Up!

Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance & Longmont Museum present this spellbinding new production at the Stewart Auditorium and Lobby - a site-specific performance in collaboration with master mentalist and illusionist Professor Phelyx, along with stunning visual art, 8 aerialists / stilt dancers, and the unexpected...

Audiences are directed into the theatre or the lobby. Professor Phelyx begins the show in the theatre, while with the aerialists begin in the lobby. Professor Phelyx is joined partway through by dancers on the stage; and magically, he appears in the lobby to those already witnessing the aerialists' performance. After intermission, the audiences swap places and the show re-starts for each of the new groups in the lobby and the theatre.

The two locations for the performance are linked, whether you view them backwards or forwards, creating a whimsical, other-worldly reality. Before your very eyes, what you know to be impossible (defying gravity while earthbound: unexpected appearances and disappearances) suddenly becomes not only possible, but believable!

Picture dancers suspended all around the audience in the lobby, costumes that transform into the unexpected, what's hidden being revealed; tomfoolery, trickery, beauty, and magic, all woven throughout this original and brand-new show.
