Virtual Launch: Birthing Justice: Black Women, Pregnancy and Childbirth, 2nd edition
Black Women Birthing Justice is excited to announce the launch of the second edition of Birthing Justice: Black Women, Pregnancy and Childbirth!
Birthing Justice puts Black womens and birthing people's voices at the center of the debate on what should be done to #LiberateBlackBirth and transform the broken maternal care system.
The second edition of this groundbreaking, widely taught book includes six new chapters, on breastfeeding and Black infant health; Black birthing during COVID; Black doulas rethinking birthing practices; the recent buildup of a US national movement; childbirth in Zanzibar; and expanding the global movement for sexual and reproductive well-being.
