~~~~ Session Schedule ~~~~
~~ Saturday ~~
~ 9-11am Session A ~
Option 1: Everyone is a Beginner in Yoga, Instructor: Quinn Kearney
Class Description: This class is ideal for individuals new to the practice of yoga, and for those who are interested in going deeper into the fundamentals of the practice.  We will spend time exploring how yoga can be incorporated into one's life in order to get the most out of it, and we will break down the classic sun salutation in a way that makes it accessible and interesting for students of all levels.
Option 2: Inform Your Flow: Alignment Based Full Spectrum Class, Instructor: Sara Strother
Class Description: Join Sara Strother for 2 hours of invigorating asana designed to enhance the way you think about practice. In this full spectrum class, Sara will cover all areas of pose work and teach you positive alignment technique. Come ready to move and learn.
Option 3: Guided Ashtanga, Instructor: Evan and Kelly Harris
Class Description: This is where it all began - the first sequence every student of the Ashtanga system learns. Primary teaches us everything we need to know about how to practice and develop some specific themes for the body. It's a perfect opportunity for those who are interested in learning more about the Ashtanga yoga system. This workshop will includes some flowing sections and some deconstruction of the more challenging "peak" postures of the sequence.
Option 4: Building Arm Balances and Inversions from the Ground UP, Instructor: Daina Lewis
Class Description: In this 2-hour workshop, we will focus on the core foundations of building arm balances and inversions.  We will play with different techniques to catch flight on your hands!  We will release the fears that can hold us back from going upside down or those feelings of not being strong enough to hold ourselves.  YOU can do it!  You just need to go deep within and let your courageous self SHINE bright!
Option 5: Moving into Stillness, Instructor: Shannon Moran
Class Description: Using Dristi Gazing of the eyes to create a flowing meditation. In this Vinyasa flow style class, students will learn how to slow down and control the movements of the eyes to allow a more focused physical and mental yoga practice. As we learn to turn off some of the chatter on our yoga mats, it is more beneficial for body mind and spirit. Class is suitable for all levels.
Option 6: Rock n Roll Vinyasa, Instructor: James Wesson
Class Description: With a rock n roll soundtrack, this baddha vinyasa power yoga class will fire you up and mellow you out at the same time.  James uses a steady pace, connecting poses that you then hold to focus your awareness on your alignment and challenge your strength while opening your body to the breath.  The flow of poses never stops throughout the class, and you will find yourself in a zone where your whole being is strong, flexible, calm and focused as you synchronize yourself mentally, physically and emotionally.
~ 12:30-2:30pm Session B ~
Option 1: Advanced Practice: Bandha and Mudra, Instructor: Jim Bennitt
Class Description: The advanced practices of yoga are not contortions of the body, they are the ability to stop and redirect the vital life force (prana) at will. Yogis build prana through breathwork (pranayama), stop the movement of energy through locks (bandha) and redirect the flow through full body gestures (mudra).  In this class, we will focus on the three main bandhas and three main mudras within a physical practice. We will also discuss the appropriate time and place to practice them and what is the desired result of each. This class is for experienced practitioners who have a firm grasp on asana and basic pranayama.
Option 2: Adjustments and Alignments, Instructor: Quinn Kearney
Class Description: Hands-on adjustments can be great for teachers and students in yoga, but they can also be injurious if not practiced with skill and caution.  In this class, we will talk about the pros and cons of adjusting and spend time working on a variety of adjustments.  This class will be especially helpful to teachers, but it will also be rewarding for anyone who is interested in alignment and likes to be adjusted. Open to all levels.
Option 3: Led Lion Series, Instructor: Evan and Kelly Harris
Class Description: Experience the Lion Sequence, the second of Matthew Sweeney's Vinyasa Krama sequences. Lion complements any existing yoga practice, and it emphasizes leg and back strength and hip and spine flexibility. This workshop is open to all levels, especially those hoping to explore back bends and hip opening postures.
Option 4: Peak Experience: Handbalancing, Instructor: Sara Strother
Class Description: Come practice handbalancing like never before! Sara will skillfully take you off your feet and onto your hands with more confidence and knowledge. Whether you are a novice or veteran, you will enjoy the careful sequences aimed for preparing your body for these peak poses.
Option 5: Opening Your Hips with Vinyasa-Flow Yoga, Instructor: Shannon Moran
Class Description: This workshop will warm up the body with a dynamic vinyasa-flow sequence that includes a variety of sun salutations before exploring postures to open & unlock the hips and pelvis. This is an area that is classically tight in many bodies, which causes tension and sometimes leads to chronic pain. Liberating this area creates freedom in movement, increases range of motion and allows access to postures that can take you further in your practice. Shannon will teach many of the sequences he used to open his hips early in his yoga practice. Even though hips will be a focus, this class will leave you feeling open and balanced. Open to all levels.
Option 6: Hatha yoga, Instructor: Jennifer Vondracek
Class Description: Do you want to build confidence and self-awareness before broadening a more strenuous practice? Join Sol Yoga's Hatha Yoga class. They will focus on mindfulness and alignment as a means to build strength, balance and flexibility, as well as build a slow, meditative style of practice. This is a fantastic choice for beginners, for yogis with injuries, and for more advanced students who want to create space for restoration in body and mind.
~ 3:30-5:30pm Session C ~
Option 1: Pranayama for Teachers and Experienced Students      Instructor: Jim Bennitt      Class Description: Pranayama practiced appropriately can cure all disease and practiced inappropriate can cause all disease.  The Hatha Yoga Pradapika. The ancient yogis didnt practice to achieve a six pack or that great yoga butt. They practiced to build, move and eventually stop the flow of prana. While most practitioners today have gained great flexibility and strength through the physical practice, they have little to no knowledge on the subtle practice of breathwork. This class will first discuss prana in more detail followed by a short, gentle asana practice to help prepare for a longer pranayama session. Appropriate for teachers and experienced students.
Option 2: Title: Vinyasa-Viveka Flow      Instructor: Quinn Kearney      Class Description: Viveka means discrimination. This will be a well-rounded vinyasa flow class with music, and we will give some thought to the vinyasa flow approach to asana practice in order to better understand what it is, and how to practice it safely. Open to all levels.
Option 3: Title: Yin      Instructor: Mary Stolze & Brooke Eckhardt Lee      Class Description: Slowly stretch your fascia, relax your muscles and challenge your brain to let everything go in this great practice that balances out your more yang practice of vinyasa. Relax the muscles that you work so hard in vinyasa classes. Relax the shoulders and hips from sitting at a computer or in a car. The most important? Relax your brain. In yin, poses are typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, allowing the body to relax into the posture. Yin is ideal for increasing flexibility and getting in touch with your inner self. Open to all levels.
Option 4: Kundalini - The Essence of Self      Instructor: Mario Cortez      Class Description: Kundalini yoga is a practice of self-awareness, asana, pranayama, mantra, relaxation and meditation brought together in one of humanitys most ancient and powerful healing techniques. We will be doing yoga sets and meditations to heal and open our heart center and experience compassion. Open to all levels.
Option 5: Intro to Flow-SUP-Yo (Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga)      Instructor: Abby Moran      Class Description: Discover your playful side while improving balance, coordination & strength with this introduction to Stand-up Paddleboard Yoga with the founder of Flow SUP Co., Abby Webster-Moran. In this workshop beginners will first get comfortable with paddling, standing & safely transitioning into/out of poses on the boards. After playful exploration (and maybe a dip in the pool!) participants will be led through a flowing SUP Yoga sequence that will leave you feeling waves of peace all day! Bring swimwear/change of clothes & a towel. Well leave time to change before the workshop. Space is limited for this class sign up early! Open to all levels.
Option 6: Go with the Flow Vinyasa      Instructor: Kathy David      Class Description: Looking to go with the flow? Sol Yogas Vinyasa class will create physically challenging practice that endeavor to connect the community with their inner strength, passion, and the transformative power of breath. The class will build on the fundamentals of Vinyasa in a safe and supportive environment that emphasizes detailed alignment. Enjoy as the Sol Yoga Instructors richly infuse this class with both challenges and recuperation, meditation, and inspirations for us all to take off the mat.
Option 7: All about You yoga      Instructor: Jeani Mackenzie      Class Description: This two hours will be simply showing up and doing yoga; not about worrying how much, how far, how long, how fast, or keeping up.  The promise is that you will feel better when you leave than when you arrived. It will be about standing up straight, staying 'in the moment', alignment in the poses, breathing better, taking away 'busy' from your life and your yoga, feeling instead of thinking. So, if you are regularly feeling stress or anxiety, tension or negativity, old and stiff (not old, just stiff?), yoga can be a tool to help you get through regular days AND  those times in your life that seem too hard. That is what we will do at this session. Make it just for you. To do yoga, all you have to do is show up and see what happens. Open to all levels
