Funds raised at the event are used to support the Multilingual & Multicultural Center's vital work with Portland's language learners and refugee youth. Our programs include: Make It Happen!, an academic support and college readiness program, with centers located in six schools, for middle and high school English language learners; World Language, our newest program that includes Maine's first public Spanish Immersion Kindergarten class; and extended learning opportunities, such as our 4-week Multilingual Summer Program for English language learners.
