Update: Wednesday, January 20
Due to a forecast of a major snowstorm on Friday and Saturday, the JCCNV has canceled this event, as it may not be safe to travel on Sunday. The event will not be rescheduled.

Tu B'Shevat, the 15th of Shevat on the Jewish calendar, marks the "New Year" of trees in Israel.  Hosted by the J's Cultural Arts and the Shiri Rahamim Shlichut Program.
Join us in celebration, as we share a light dinner, Israeli wine and delicious Seder foods. Na'ama Gold, our Community Shlicha, will lead the seder and explain the beauty of the holiday.

The 2016 Art of Jewish Food events celebrate Jewish food thru Tu B'Shevat, the film "Marrying An Ice Cream Factory" and a visit from Jessica Fechtor, author of "Stir: My Broken Brain and the Meals That Brought Me Home." The Art of Jewish Food is funded in part by The Jewish Food Experience (JFE), a program of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (http://jewishfoodexperience.com).

In addition to the JFE, Tu B'Shevat collaborators include:Ahava, Israel Forever Foundation, Javazen and Soom Foods. Read more about The Art of Jewish Food and our Tu B'Shevat collaborators at www.jccnvarts.org

The Art of Jewish Food, powered by the J, celebrates Jewish food and culture through food, film and author events. More than just sustenance, food is a reflection of a community's history, culture and values. Jewish food is a diverse cuisine that has evolved over many centuries, shaped by Jewish dietary laws (kashrut) and the economics, agriculture, and culinary traditions of the many countries where Jewish communities have existed.
