WHAT: On Tuesday, January 12 of the New Year, River Roast (315 N. LaSalle St.) brings four legendary Chicago chefs together for a night of good-natured "roasting" to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. River Roast Chefs John Hogan and Tony Mantuano team up with Chefs Jimmy Bannos Sr. and Takashi Yagihashi for a four-course dinner followed by the main event a comedic chef "roast" emceed by everyone's best friend, WXRT Radio's Lin Brehmer. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and guests will be sat for dinner, with one course prepared by each participating chef, at 7 p.m. Following dinner, each chef-host will take turns on stage "roasting" their fellow chefs all in good humor! Reservations are required, but can be made by phone at 312.822.0100 or online at OpenTable.
In advance of the event, River Roast invites other Chicago chefs to get in on the fun and support the philanthropic evening by posting their own chef "roasts" to social media, using the hashtag #ARoastToFeedChicago.
