ROCKFIRE THEATRE presents THE SANTALAND DIARIES and SEASON'S GREETINGS by DAVID SEDARIS
Adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello and directed by Rockfire's Managing Director Kevin Murphy, these two hilarious works by David Sedaris are a perfect evening of off-kilter holiday merriment.
THE SANTALAND DIARIES A cynical New York newbie with soap opera aspirations chronicles his (mis)adventures toiling as Crumpet the elf in Macy's Santaland. Based on Sedaris' real life experience working in retail over the Christmas season, Rockfire's Artistic Director Matt Reed brings this modern holiday favorite to life.
SEASON'S GREETINGS Jocelyn Dunbar has had a rough few months, but she is determined to let everyone know her spirits haven't been dampened. Her Christmas letter to friends and family shows that, despite the family's legal troubles of late, she is doing her best to keep the holiday spirit alive - and maybe correct a few vicious rumors the news reports have been spreading. Allee Peck performs this darkly hilarious look at one woman doing what she can to keep everything together for the holidays.
