Emily Power Dance - Unfolding Perception
This contemporary dance work is a culmination of a residency at Work|Space, housed at The Laundry on Lawrence.
Unfolding Perception is an exploration and expansion of my previous solo work, Unfold. Centered around the concepts of perspective and dimension, this work further explores how we view an image or events, what we can see from our respective perspectives, how that determines how we interpret and relate to the image; and contemplating the unseen dimension. As something is revealed to us, we also must know that its exposure to our perspective must be cloaking another unseen dimension.
This work will be a collaboration of efforts, including dance, sculpture, aerial dance, film and sound design.
