On December 3, WOBO (Walk Oakland Bike Oakland) is kicking off the 2016 season (WOBO's 10th Year!!!) with a gala and auction to sustain and grow its advocacy work in Oakland. Join us for dinner, drinks, dancing and doing good from 6-9 PM at the Starline Social Club. We are delighted to also showcase videos created by local youth, and will once again honor a few WOBO's 2015 Superstars. We are also stoked to have Oakland's first Transportation & Infrastructure Policy Director, Matt Nichols, join us to share some of his hopes for 2016.
Every dollar raised at this event will be used to bring high quality programming to the community, such as:
- Championing high quality, protected and connected bikeways,
- Leading free walks through Oakland Urban Paths,
- Presenting THREE OaklavĂa Open Street events,
- Facilitating Parklet pilots, and
- Championing well-designed public streets that enhance walking and bicycling experiences for people of all ages and abilities.
