Springtime in Paris
On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the Greater Augusta Community is uniting in support of the Maine French Language Program and French at the University of Maine at Augusta from 6-9:30 p.m. This event at Le Club Calumet on the West River Road supports programs that teach the French language and emphasize the importance of Franco-American culture in Maine. Entertainment features Mezzo-Soprano Joelle Morris singing a spectacular program of French chansons. There will be an eclectic mix of art, antiques and gift certificates to area restaurants and shops at Auction. A sumptuous buffet prepared by the Calumet Club's renowned chef will please the palates. Doors open at 5:00 and dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. Originally from Evian, France Mezzo-Soprano Joelle Morris is well recognized for her warm voice and ability to sparkle on stage. Joelle is an active recitalist, regularly performing in France, Switzerland and throughout the United States. Her performance is a great tribute to Edith Piaf.
