Arts & Barley Fest
Here's an event where you're sure to get bent, enjoying some art, music and brew. So get out of your rut and off your butt and enjoy what we have for you!
We are so excited to offer you a wonderful day at the Woodhaven Community Center and beautiful parkgrounds starting at noon to 6pm for FREE!!! There will be a grill with food for sale or pack a picnic. Will be selling and serving special Michigan microbrew beer and tropical drinks with limited Tiki mugs by Gecko (www.southseaarts.com)as well as mugs by Tiki Farm, etc... Just added recently Lemonhart Rum 151 has been approved in Michigan and is going to be at the show! No authentic tropical cocktail is complete without the flavor of Lemonhart Rum 151 to top it. Included in your day will start with a diverse car show (classics, customs, new american etc.),championship chainsaw carver "Chainsaw Scott" and by hand will be carving Chad Davis "Beave's Tikis". During the day we will have a markethut offering such items as tiki mugs, lowbrow art, vintage clothing and barware, vendors include;

During the day a special apperance by Roland Remington and his sweet xylophone. "Roland Remington plays mid-century exotica by artists like Martin Denny, Les Baxter, Aurthur Lyman and Henry Mancici on vintage melody percussion intstruments. Get your boarding pass to a bygone era with sounds that conjure up mysterious tropical islands and soft sea breezes."
Starting at 5-6pm the cool shear sounds of Natalie the Barber and his accordian!
Then for you LUCKY (21 and over) ticket holders the swanky dj sounds of Del Villarreal spinning all night! Appitizers will be served. From 6pm-7:30pm Beer tasting and Beauty Show. 7:30- 8pm intermission featuring the comedy of Jason James Benci and everyone holding a ticket is entered into a free bar swag give-away lottery. Second half from 8-9:30pm more beer and beauties. 9:30-10pm Beauty winners announced and Charity Raffle with donations from all vendors featured above. Charity is Relay For Life.
To end off this perfect event we have special for you a performance by: RIO & THE ROCKABILLY REVIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!

We do encourage if you are going to drink please drink responsibly and select a designated driver or we have locked in room rates at the Best Western directly across the street from the venue. With ticket purchase you will receive a wrist band, as long as you keep on the wrist band you can re-enter the venue. |
