S.O.S.
S.O.S is a funny, moving (and reasonably raunchy) one-woman show about "Growing up Guardin." The show dives into the life of a spunky native New Yorker, Candice Guardin, who grew up in Staten Island. A true triple threat performer, Candice uses her dynamic voice, superb comedic timing and innate storytelling abilities (as well as actual home videos) to take you on an unforgettable journey through her unpredictable life. From hilarious and heartfelt family impressions, from getting her first period to her first celebrity crush to offering hilarious and entertaining re-mixes of a few classic tunes (with her own brand of comedy stamped on it loud and clear!).
Candice is also the great niece of famed 50's and 60's actor Harry Guardino, who was Tony-nominated for his role in One More River and also co-starred opposite Cary Grant and Sophia Loren in Houseboat and appeared in Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry.
S.O.S. will feature musical direction from Grammy Award-nominee David Dabbon (for Sondheim on Sondheim) who has also served as conductor/arranger/orchestrator for the Richard Rodgers Awards and the Gene Kelly Awards.
