About SEZU:
Delivering a unique sound with precision & feel, SEZU is a core trio of guitar, keyboards & bass with vocals, with/without drums.
All originals, lovingly-crafted & passionately played. Eclectic mix of styles, back-beat driven grooves, sweet melodies & sweeter harmonies.
RANDY (RJ) HUTCHINSON - Hayward, CA, singer/songwriter, acoustic & electric guitar. Creative performing force of SEZU, a prolific songwriter, w/ a unique voice, melodic style &strong rhythmic sense.
DAVID KAFFINETTI Born in England in Folkstone Kent; keyboardist for English rock band Rare Bird, which released 5 albums, (three on Polydor Records; two as first act signed for Charisma, which included the international hit "Sympathy" Genesis' label).
David came to the US with English rock group Natural Gas in 1975, decided to stay and played in L.A. funk rock band Fresh (featured in the movie Almost Summer). Played Viv Savage in mockumentary This is Spinal Tap. He got the gig by charming Rob Reiner he promised authenticity.
Played keys on Chuck Berry's London Sessions album which was sent to outerspace on board the 1973 Voyager. Moved to the SF Bay Area in the mid-80's with multiple gigs and sessions all around. He has been in the Bay Area for many years, playing with a variety of musicians and bands.
KATHY RAY - Born in San Francisco, residing in the East Bay, Kathy has been playing bass for many years, has a unique style she calls groove with verve. Vocal harmonies are a passion.
PETER TUCKER Born in Boston, MA and described as "one of the most creative percussionists to emerge in rock music," by Rolling Stone magazine. Pro career started in 60s with the Monks (featuring Brad Delp, later the lead singer for Boston), Guns and Butter (two record deals with Atlantic Records), NY studio work, including work with Richie Havens. West Coast bands included Pacific Gas & Electric, the Beau Brummels, the Waybacks, the Cowlicks.
Best known currently as drummer/percussionist for high-octane Americana band Houston Jones. In addition to session work, Peter plays folk, jazz, country and rock in a variety of other music projects, including the Randy Craig Trio and the Sons of Emperor Norton.
