On the Wings of a Nightingale: Apple Jam Performing Beatles Music for Ethiopia will include guest performances by Alan White (Yes), Kurtis Dengler (Paul Rodgers), Craig Terrill, and Jakael Tristram (Lucas Field). Arik Korman (Bob Rivers Show) will host the event. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO) to improve surgical/medical care at the Black Lion Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
About Apple Jam Apple Jam performs Beatles and solo years favorites, deep cuts, and never-released songs. No wigs or costumes, just unrivaled Beatles-infused musicianship. Apple Jam's highly acclaimed 2009 debut CD is titled Off the Beatle Track (15 songs composed but never released by the Beatles). They have sold out major venues in the Northwest, Finland and the UK. Apple Jam was formed in 2005, in support of (Just Like) Starting Over, a stage play based on John Lennon's final interview. Member musicians are: Rick Lovrovich (bass), Jon Bolton (drums), Mike Mattingly (guitar), Johnny Jones (keyboards) and Robbie Christmas (guitar) listen to Apple Jam's music
About Seattle Anesthesia Outreach Seattle Anesthesia Outreach's mission is to provide support for the improvement of medical care in developing areas of the world with particular emphasis on anesthesia and peri-operative services. All proceeds from this concert will be used to ship medical equipment and supplies to Ethiopia, and for travel & housing for volunteer medical workers. Primary beneficiaries of funds are patients of the Black Lion hospital, the only public hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
On the Wings of a Nightingale EP In conjunction with the event, Apple Jam is recording/releasing a five track EP titled "On the Wings of A Nightingale". It presents multiple versions of "Help Me to Help Myself" by John Lennon, and "On the Wings of a Nightingale" by Paul McCartney. Neither song has ever been produced/released by the original songwriter. Alan White (Yes) is lending his legendary drumming talents to the project. Jakael Tristram is producing/engineering the EP, which will be for sale at the concert in support of Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO)

Tickets: All ages. GA tickets ($45) are general admission and provide seating anywhere in the venue, except the first three rows. VIP tickets ($85) include a reception with complimentary food & beverage in the lobby area, starting at 7 PM and ending at 8 PM. Preferred seating for the show (first three rows) is also included. There are up to 108 VIP tickets available for purchase. UW tickets ($35) are general admission and specially priced for current students/employees of the University of Washington. Current UW ID is required for entry to the show. There are up to 100 UW tickets available for purchase
