Celebrating Ancestral Wisdom: 2012 Conference of the Earth Medicine Alliance
This October 20th-21st we invite you to join over 15 ceremonial leaders and teachers of diverse Earth-honoring backgrounds for a full weekend of embodied learning, interfaith dialogue, and co-creative ritual around the theme of celebrating ancestral wisdom.
On Saturday we'll gather from 9:30am to 6:00pm at the Unitarian Center in San Francisco for a day of teachings, ceremony, and interfaith dialogue.
On Sunday participants are invited to join in earth-honoring rituals co-led by conference presenters at one of five locations in and around the City. Join Luisah Teish, Ohlone elders, and teachers of different indigenous traditons in co-creating concurrent rituals as a collective offering and prayer for the well being of the ancestors, the land and waters here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Registration is $90, and we welcome you to bring a friend for FREE. We aim to host a conference that is spiritually nourishing, heart-centered, and welcoming for people of all backgrounds and traditions (or lack thereof). We also have reserved seats at a discount for volunteers who can give support before the conference and arrive early on the day of. We're looking forward to a nourishing weekend and we hope you can join us!
Carpooling and Parking at the Unitarian Universalist Center:
I'd encourage everyone to carpool to save resources. Here's the updated parking garages for the area. I know many of the streets are metered in the area, but you may be able to find un-metered neighborhood not too far away.
I'd recommend: Polk Bush Garage: 1399 Bush St. (corner of Bush and Polk), (415) 567-7816. Open Saturday 8:00am to 2:30am. $20 max. $8.00 special: in before 9:00am out before 7:00pm.
1000 Van Ness Garage: 950 O'Farrell St (between Van Ness and Polk). (415) 614-1218. Saturday 6:00am to 12:30am. $8/hour, $20 maximum
Japan Center Garage: 1610 Geary Blvd. (between Laguna and Webster). Saturday 7:00am to 3:00am. $22 max.
