Flight to Mars: Valentine's Day Massacre
On February 14, 1929, Al Capone ordered a hit on his rival, Bugs Moran. He
sent Machine Gun McGurn to a Chicago warehouse where Moran would be
having a meeting. They lined up seven of Moran's men against a brick wall and
shot them with a tommy gun. Moran arrived late, smelled trouble, and avoided
being killed. The massacre triggered the climax of the mobster era, almost
simultaneous with the crashing end of the Roaring 20s.
Break out your fedoras, pinstripes, and flapper dresses for a new Flight 2 Mars
party. This event will behold the era of the Roaring 20s in music, dance, and
many other authentic representations.
