The Compendium of Nastiness (since Oct 05!)
We have sold out the run! (Thanks so much for spreading the word, satisfied thrill-seekers!) You can still see the show if you get 12 friends together and buy out the house. Your own private showing! If you are interested in doing this for an evening group activity, please call the info line number listed.
Club Bub in association with New City Theater is pleased to announce further performances of The Compendium of Nastiness, playing at The Womb, a new intimate theater seating only 15 people. The Womb is located in a private home in Madrona on 32nd Ave between PIKE and PINE streets. Use Mapquest for exact location if unsure! (NOT 32nd East., just 32nd Ave!) Please arrive no earlier than 8pm for 8:30 show.
The Compendium of Nastiness, written and directed by Ki Gottberg, combines original writing with several 19th century gothic melodramas such as The Castle Spectre and The Devil's Elixir to tell the tale of innocent Angela and her evil uncle Osmund.
Using hand-made puppets, actress Elizabeth Kenny performs all the roles in this "mature audiences only" melodrama. See reviews Seattle PI 1/10/06, Times 10/21, Seattle Weekly 10/19, The Stranger 10/20/05
Arrive by 8:15 for champagne, cookies and tea. Please note that there will be NO tickets sales at the door for any of the shows. All tickets must be purchased prior to arrival.
Because the nature of this event requires ascending and descending stairs, etc. in a private home, the purchaser of this ticket assumes all risk of injury. Purchasing this ticket and attending this event releases the homeowner of all liability.
