Our Voices: An LGBT Media/Arts Showcase
The second annual Our Voices: A LGBT Media/Arts Showcase will be held at the historic Schmidt Artist Lofts in St. Paul on October 24th, 2015.
This annual event is the major fundraiser for The Column, a nonprofit news, arts, and culture nonprofit committed to "telling the stories of LGBT Minnesota, one voice at a time." As a sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts, donations at this great event are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Starting at 5pm, enjoy drinks and small eats while bidding on amazing art, crafts, and art-related gift packages. While guests are socializing and bidding, Cassandra Snow will be providing a unique experience through the art of queer tarot reading. At 7pm, step into the theater to take in a series of short performances by a diverse array of LGBT performers. Emceed by the one and only Sweetpea, enjoy performances in theater (Gadfly Theatre), song (Adam Dykes and Jacksee), comedy (Sarah McPeck), and more to be announced! At 9:30pm, stay for music, drinks, and socializing.
This event is the annual fundraising event for The Column, Minnesota's only nonprofit news, media, arts, and culture organization. Our mission is: Telling the stories of LGBT Minnesota, one voice at a time.
Because some art at the event may not be suitable for children, and because alcohol will be available, we are making this a 21+ event.
