Ker Art & Maritime Exhibit
Ker Art and Maritime Exhibit Preview Party: October 16th - $15 The Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society is so excited to announce Ker Art and the Maritime Exhibit. This event will be held on the lawn at Ker Place October 16th and 17th. On Friday the 16th there will be a preview cocktail party. Guests will be given the opportunity to view the show and purchase art before it opens to the public. On Saturday, October 17th the show will open to the public for free admission, featuring the works of over 28 artists, lectures on the restoration of the Annie C., and an exhibit of photographic prints titled "...On the Water: As Seen Through the Lens of Dr. Robertson". This beautiful black and white exhibit documents the local boating history during the 50's and 60's. All boat builders are encouraged to display their "shore built" or restored boats on the lawn at Ker place. Ker Art and the Maritime Exhibit promises to be a wonderful family event, with food, local entertainment by Poundnet and the drawing for the Bevin's Skiff. Come spend the day with us and share your passion for all things "Shore Made".
