Electricidad by Luis Alfaro
Project Twenty12 in partnership with Homeboy Industries present Electricidad by Luis Alfaro at Teatro Carmen Zapata.
Using the East L.A. barrios as the backdrop for this adaptation of Electra, this modern twist on the Greek tragedy thrusts you into fits of laughter and catches your breath in moments of unimaginable sorrow. The king of the East Side Locos has been murdered and the House of Atridas is in chaos. A young chola enraged by her fathers murder is lost between her desire for revenge and her longing for redemption.
Playwright Luis Alfaro and Creative Artistic Director Jesus Reyes will be in attendance on Saturday March 10 for a discussion panel after the show.

March 15: Denise Blasor Associate Artistic Director of Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, Dr. Tiffany Lopez from UCR and Latino Theatre Company Head Writer Evelina Fernandez will be addressing the Latina female role in theatre.
15% of ticket sales will be awarded to Homeboy Industries.
