Climb for Conservation (www.ClimbforConservation.org) is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is simple: we climb mountains around the world for a conservation cause.  We believe in maintaining the health of the natural world and we focus our efforts on raising awareness and funds for land, water and wildlife conservation.  There is no doubt that global climate change, land loss, pollution, and other forces are threatening our planet with unprecedented loss of wildlife and wild places. According to recent studies, unless we take action now, climate-related change could drive one-fourth of all land animal species to extinction between now and 2050.

Our kick-off climb is Mt. Kilimanjaro and proceeds from this benefit will be used to help protect the endangered African Rhino through donations to the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary in Tanzania.   Our green girls climbing Kilimanjaro include actress Mariel Hemingway (http://marielhemingway.com/); NASCAR driver and environmental activist Leilani Munter  (http://www.leilanimunter.com/index_f.html); Green Girl Minute TV Host, Model and Attorney Ginna Kelly; the Green Girl Next Door Vanessa Meier (http://www.thegreengirlnextdoor.com/); Snow and Ice Research Scientist Julienne Stroeve (http://nsidc.org/research/scientists.html#Stroeve) and Sprouts Marketing and Events owner Margot Moselle.  Our Climb for Conservation team will be shooting video to be aired on the Outside Television network.

Please join us Sunday January 29th at 5:30 pm for a delicious, local organic 3-course dinner at Shine.  Dinner includes cocktail/elixir, salad, entree and dessert, coffee and tea. Live music with Sambadende and presentation to follow dinner. Seating is limited for dinner.

Cost: $100 for cocktail, dinner and music (5:30 to 10:30 pm)
$20 for cocktail and music (7:30 to 10:30 pm)
