Movies By Kids, For Kids Screening & Awards
Kids In The Spotlight presents host Ty Burrell ("Modern Family") and some of Hollywood's brightest stars as they help shine the spotlight on LA's youngest filmmakers at the 6th Annual Movies By Kids, For Kids.
Part screening, part awards show, Movies By Kids, For Kids honors the outstanding achievement of student filmmakers living in the Los Angeles County foster care system.
Join us on the historic Fox Studios lot where you'll be treated to short films written, cast and starring foster children and directed by celebrity directors. Plus, enjoy exciting Red Carpet activities, meet some of your favorite stars, bid on incredible items at the Silent Auction, savor the tasty buffet at the Post Show Reception and take home a nifty gift bag.
Scheduled to appear: Julie Bowen, Rico Rodriguez and Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Miles Brown, Marcus Scribner (Black-ish), Kendrick Sampson (How to Get Away With Murder), Wendy Raquel Robinson (The Game), Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show), Aisha Hinds (Under the Dome), Raini Rodriguez (Austin & Alley), Skai Jackson (Jessie0, Aylssa Diaz (Ray Donovan), Jeff "Swampy" Marsh (Phineas & Ferb), Emma Kenney (Shameless), Mateus Ward (Murder in the First) and many, many more!
Many of these films depict the harsh realities faced by the pre-teen and teenage screenwriters who produced them. Some material may not suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
Kids In The Spotlight, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit arts education program that trains foster children to tell their stories their way.
