JIMMY JAMES is an Award-Winning Entertainer worthy of a Las Vegas show room. Along with his astounding gift for mimicry he has also proved himself a true recording artist in his own right. He wrote & recorded a hit club anthem entitled 'FASHIONISTA' from his original album 'JAMESTOWN.' The single rose to the top of The BILLBOARD dance charts with great reviews. Now several of his albums are available on iTunes including: "JIMMY JAMES RAW" and "The ONE & MANY VOICES of JIMMY JAMES" and Coming soon: The Jimmy James Christmas album.
A veteran performer of 28 years, James started his career in 1983 in his hometown of San Antonio, TX by impersonating Marilyn Monroe in small clubs around town. By 1986 he was headlining in New York City nightclubs & cabarets where a producer of the 'DONAHUE' show discovered him and put him on the daytime talk show in May of '87. The appearance on DONAHUE changed his life for good and lead to other national talk shows such as: GERALDO, JOAN RIVERS, SALLY, JANE WHITLEY, MARSHA WARFIELD, VIKKI LAWRENCE, HOUR MAGAZINE, CNN & More...
After 17 years of touring as Marilyn, James retired that part of the show to evolve and grow as an artist. His show was redesigned to focus on the show-stopping Voice Impressions which were always the most popular part of his shows. He also worked on developing his songwriting & recording skills for several years in New York City until finally writing his hit FASHIONISTA (released 10/2006). The song still plays in dance clubs around the world and has been licensed to AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, SO U THINK U CAN DANCE, THE TODAY SHOW, TANTRUMS & TIARAS, BRING IT ON (the movie) #5 and more...
