THE STORY Ultima, a great Curandera/Healer, teaches a young boy about fate and the power of the Natural World.
Opera Cultura will be presenting excerpts from Hector Armienta's new opera, Bless Me Ultima, based on Rudolfo Anaya's epic novel of the same title. Four arias will be performed by an incredibly talented cast, including international opera singer Suzanna Guzman. This will be the first time these pieces will be performed. Singers will be accompanied by accomplished pianist Paul Dab. After the performance, there will be a discussion with composer/librettist Hector Armienta and cast about the the work.
SEATING The venue holds 100 seats. However, we are reserving only 25 seats. The remaining 75 seats are first come first serve.
The entire presentation will last approximately one hour ( including the discussion).
