Writers Bloc Presents Andy Borowitz in Conversation with Patton Oswalt
CBS News Sunday Morning calls Andy Borowitz "one of the funniest people in America." Who's funnier than Andy Borowitz? We don't know. But we do know that Patton Oswalt is right up there with Andy.
Andy Borowitz' website, The Borowitz Report, boils down the day's top story into a few perfect lines of fake news. It is perfect satire and has been known to bewilder and frustrate heads of state around the world who actually take Andy seriously. In addition to cranking out daily issues of The Borowitz Report, Andy writes for The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and other publications. Another claim to fame is that Andy is the #1 Twitter account in the world, according to a Time magazine poll. He is the editor of the Library of America's bestselling anthology of American humor, The 50 Funniest American Writers: An Anthology of Humor from Mark Twain to The Onion.
Patton Oswalt, stand-up comedian and author,has appeared in many of his own specials on HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central. His riffs on issues such as foreign policy, religion, Downton Abbey and pop culture are hilarious. He is also the author of the recently published book, Zombie Spaceship Wasteland. Please note: Sarah Silverman has had an unexpected schedule conflict and will not participate in the program. We are delighted that Patton, one of the most respected performers in the comedy world, will chat with Andy onstage.
