This show is the result of a collaboration between three nationally and internationally acclaimed artists Larry Marshall, Steve Sieck, and Jeannine Otis/ Jahneen. The material features standards and originals, that explore life and love ...fun, trauma, and 'the story and glory of love'.
THE ARTISTS:
LARRY MARSHALL is a Grammy-Winning, Tony Nominated performer whose has appeared in a record 14 Broadway shows including the original cast of HAIR THE COLOR PURPLE , and THE FULL MONTY. STEVE SIECK ( 21st CENTURY BLUES) is a compelling pianist/singer/songwriter blending pop, jazz, and rhythm and blues styles with urbane lyrics and a soulful delivery. Steve has recently played to sold-out audiences at the Metropolitan Room and the The Iridium. He was recently nominated for a MAC AWARD ( Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) ..'.his wry observational humor and low-key approach reminds me of Mose Allison' . quote from ROB LESTER/NY CABARET ENTERTAINMENT
JEANNINE OTIS/JAHNEEN is an artist on WARNER EUROPEAN and SOUL JAZZ RECORDS in Soho, London. She has a truly eclectic career and has appeared on Broadway in THIS JOINT IS JUMPIN with Mr. Marshall, The Edinburgh Festival and The Pori Jazz Festival as well in a number of shows Off Broadway and in other settings including extensive work with Elizabeth Swados, Mimi Stern-Wolfe, Kool and the Gang, Peter Zummo, the late Pete Seeger as well as an International tour of PORGY AND BESS . She continues to be Music Director at Saint Marks Church and Theaterworks USA as well as numerous additional projects. Her recording MAGIC SONGS with Finnish composer laureate Heikki Sarmanto was nominated for a Grammy in Finland.( Emma Gaala)..and is considered a classic 'third stream' recording.
