We understand your need to be genuine. We understand your need to let people know your "true colors." They're beautiful like the rainbow, right? Right.
No, they aren't.
Face it. Your true colors are ugly, petty and undignified. And that just won't cut it in this day and age. You really can't afford to let anyone see who you really are.
"Well," you may ask, "how can I prevent people from seeing the True Me? What must I do to ensure the more perfect me is displayed?"
We here at Count Zero are here to help you with that, by requesting your presence at an exclusive, invitation-only costume party. Consider it the first step on your recovery from veracity. For those of you squeamish about appearing in Costumes, or even that euphemistic cousin, Creative Dress, we've taken care to ensure that this party is scheduled at a time of the year in which many people are also dressing as someone else. That way, no one will really notice that you're not being you; which they wouldn't notice anyway, as it's not you they're noticing. Or not noticing.
We've also taken the time to secure a very secret but wonderful private club space for all of us to "come out." It's a hush hush little area called the Magic Room, where nothing is as it seems. Count Zero will be playing two sets of macabre/offbeat/booty-shaking celebratory music, complete with transcendent visuals. Death of the Cool will also play a set, and DJ Pace will fill in the grooves with yet more grooves.
Free finger foods. Beer and Wine available. Costume contest. Perhaps even other guests? Celebrities? Who can say who will be there when no one will be themselves?
