August 22nd, Flatbread Company on Martha's Vineyard will host an all-star cast of musicians. This crew will play 'Reelin in The Years', The Music of Steely Dan as well as classic favorites with numerous special guests. This night of musical mayhem should not be missed!
Steely Dan is one of the most influential bands in Pop music. Among the songs they are most known for are, 'Ricky Don't Lose That Number', 'My Old School' , 'I'm A Fool To Do Your Dirty Work', 'Do It Again', 'Peg', 'Black Cow', 'Don't Take Me Alive', and many, many others.
Steely Dan was formed in the early 70's by Walter Becker and Donald Fagan (Fagan is a Woodstock resident .The music will be brought to life by a stellar cast of musicians:
Rick Marotta- Drummer for everyone! Including: Aretha Franklin, Carly Simon, Steely Dan, James Taylor, Paul Simon, John Lennon, Hall & Oates, Stevie Nicks, Wynonna, Roy Orbison, Todd Rundgren, Roberta Flack, Peter Frampton, Quincy Jones, Jackson Browne, Waylon Jennings, Randy Newman, Peter Gabriel, Kenny G., The Jacksons, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Warren Zevon, Linda Ronstadt and many others.
Jerry Marotta (drums/vocals) has worked extensively with Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Hall & Oates, Sarah McLachlan, Robbie Robertson, Suzanne Vega as well as many, many others.
Scott Petito (Bass, Musical director) - Livingston and James Taylor, Chick Corea, the Fugs, The Band, Mercury Rev and Dozens More
Jonny Rosch (keyboards, Harmonica, vocals) dynamic bandleader has fronted the Blues Brothers. Also worked with Joe Walsh, Cyndi Lauper and more.
Jesse Gress (guitar) - Todd Rundgren and the Tony Levin band.
Peter Primamore (Keyboards) Library music mogul who's credits include having written the Today Show theme
Leslie Ritter (vocals) - Livingston Taylor, Krishna Das, Paul Winter.
Matt Finck- guitar - Randy Brecker, John Medeski
Chris Passin- Dizzy Gillespie Band, George Russell
