Rocky Horror Show presented by The Schoolyard
Rocky is back! Sold out at Open Circle Theater last spring...The Schoolyard presents... a remount of the raunchy, wicked rendering of Richard O'Brien's modern classic, The Rocky Horror Show returning to excite even more of you time-warping Transylvanians. A down and dirty version of the classic rock musical, The Rocky Horror Show will leave you titillated and maybe a little scared.
Come see what audiences and critics alike raved about:
****"Delivered with total commitment, a zestful glee in its inappropriate behavior." The Seattle Actor
**** "This isn't your parents' Rocky Horror thank goodness. The show's inherent lustiness is put right back where it belongs, center stage." Seattle Pop Culture Examiner
**** "Josh Hartvigson owns the role of Frank N Furter." Seattlest **** "The flesh was resplendent and the sheer delight in its vice provided an abundance of low-budget glitter." The Seattle Actor
***** "By mining the play's nihilist roots Zinter takes a big risk; as a result, Rocky, a 38 year old musical, feels relevant for the first time in a long time." Seattlest

Q&A
Question: |
Does the audience typically dress up for this performance like the characters the way that they do for the movie? |
Answer: |
some of the audience has dressed up in costumes. because this production is our own spin on the classic, many of the characters on stage have new fresh looks. We encourage the audienece to dress up and be prepared for fun, but audience participation like throwing rice, squirt guns, and toast is not allowed for performer safety. |
|
Question: |
Can we bring non thrown props like gloves, flashlights, newspapers etc? |
Answer: |
I am not familiar with how all the different props are used, so as long as the props you bring are not disruptive to other audience members nor distracting for the performers props are okay. |
