Dads of Daughters
Dads! There is nothing quite like being a dad of a daughter but sometimes as our girls get older, they become more of a mystery. After several very successful presentations both in Seattle and Palo Alto, Julie Metzger, RN, MN, will once again explore how dads can remain close to their daughters while balancing their hopes for their lives with their passions and priorities. Strategies to promote understanding and maintain a healthy communication will be explored. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions.
Julie Metzger is co-creator of the extremely popular classes on puberty and growing up for preteens and their parents, and co-author of the book for preteens, "Will Puberty Last My Whole Life: Real Answers to Real Questions Asked by Preteens on Body Changes, Sex, and Other Growing Up Stuff." Attendees who wish to purchase a copy of Julie and Rob's book for preteens on puberty and other growing up things, Will Puberty Last My Whole Life? or Julie's new book, "This is Me - a Girl's Journal" can have a signed copy waiting for them when they arrive for the talk by ordering ahead of time at: www.greatconversations.com
This talk is generously sponsored by Seattle Children's Hospital.
(The companion class for MOTHERS OF SONS by Dr. Rob Lehman will be held at same location on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. It can be found as a separate event in the Brown Paper Ticket listings.)
This talk is for parents/other adults ONLY (not with children).
The talk is aimed at parents of preteens and teens.
