THUMBELINA: THE ORIGINAL FLOWER CHILD
Hans Christian Andersens story of the original flower child! Thumbelina decides everything around her is super-sized so she sets off to find her own place in this world. On this grand journey, Thumbelina learns of the seasons, has misadventures with frogs in a pond, sings in the trees with flying beetles and must escape the underground home of a mole.
This award-winning performance is presented with a beautiful cast of shadow figures and stunning scenery designed with flowing, floral motifs inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. Live tunes on electric guitar, dulcimer, percussion and sound effects devices provides a perfect, groovy accompaniment to our heroine on her flower-power adventure.

Answer: |
About 45-50 minutes. |

Question: |
What is the youngest age you would recommend for this performance? |
Answer: |
It varies with individual kids. The main things to keep in mind are the duration of the show (about 45-50 minutes) and the dark theater (some kids are just scared of the dark). Often kids start attending shows when they are about 3 or 4. |

Nice to read that your child likes puppets. When you arrive, please choose your own seats near access to the stairs. If you need to leave, you can go downstairs to the little exhibit area. Thank you for asking and for being considerate of the other audience members. |
