Medicare Part D
This course covers the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit from soup to nuts. This is not a CLE course, and is intended for anyone assisting Medicare beneficiaries with drug coverage. We'll cover:
* The different parts of Medicare
* Basic drug plan benefit
* Formulary rules
* TrOOP / donut hole / catastrophic coverage
* Extra Help (Low Income Subsidy)
* Enrollment periods
* Late Enrollment Penalty
* Coordinating with other coverage, including:
- Recent changes to EPIC
- Changes to Medicaid wrap
- Other Rx coverage
* Exceptions and Appeals
* How to help a client select the optimal plan through Medicare.gov
Remote Participation Available
Participation also possible remotely online through GoToWebinar. If you choose to participate remotely, you will be sent instructions to call in via telephone and view the presentation on your computer using GoToWebinar. This is not a webcast - you will not be able to see video of the presenter, only the PowerPoint slides and other visual aides. You can listen to the presenter and ask questions over your phone.

Financial Hardship Policy
Financial scholarships, which may reduce or waive tuition, may be requested by those indicating unemployment or other financial hardship. Those seeking a Financial Scholarship must request a Financial Scholarship Application, which includes the criteria for review, and submit it to us at least two weeks before the date of the training. This policy is intended to make our programs accessible to those facing financial hardship.
Payment
We accept payment via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or PayPal. After adding all of the trainings you want to your cart in Brown Paper Tickets, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete payment. If you wish to pay by credit card, you do not need a PayPal account. Please read our detailed instructions on paying by credit card if you need assistance. If you cannot pay using one of those options, please email us to arrange payment.
