The Fusion Project: Artesan Dance Company featuring West Valley Dancers
Artesan Dance Company is proud to present "The Fusion Project" with West Valley High School dancers on October 29th and 30th. In the beginning of October, West Valley dance students will work alongside dancers of Artesan and learn original choreography by Artistic Director and West Valley alumna, Summer Odell. The month of training will culminate in a performance for the community at West Valley's Performing Arts Center. "The Fusion Project" will incorporate West Valley dance students into Artesan Dance Company's newest premiere of "Journey into the Unknown." The show will also feature some of Artesan fans' favorite pieces.
Artesan Dance Company is known for fusing their diverse styles of ballet, modern, ethnic and break dance while creating cohesive, exciting choreography that is filled with marveling athleticism and thought provoking movement. The Company's debut performance of "Fusion" in 2009 at the Cascade Theatre became an instant success and served as the catalyst for their performance a year later at the Casino de Paris in Paris, France. In the spring of 2011, Artesan premiered "Fusion: Breaking into New Worlds through Dance." Artesan is increasing their performance schedule this fall.
