KRISTEN BELL

Noted for her philanthropic activities for PETA, CARE, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Kristen Bell will accept the Artivist Award on August 20 at our awards show. This multi-talented, socially aware actress is the rare performer to have enjoyed equal success in film, on television, and on the Broadway stage.

Ms. Bell, a vegetarian since age 11, traveled to Brazil as a volunteer while a student at New York University; while there, she actually helped medics deliver two babies during her work in an underprivileged community. Known internationally for her work in "Veronica Mars" and in the films "Burlesque" (with Cher and Christina Aguilera) and "When In Rome' (in which she starred opposite Josh Duhamel), she enjoys a global media presence for her talent, beauty, and humanitarian efforts alike. Watch for new Showtime series, HOUSE OF LIES, co-starring Don Cheadle, this January and Universal Pictures' "Everybody Loves Whales" opposite Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski in February.
