Thousand Cranes
In Japanese culture cranes are revered as holy creatures. As part of Japanese legend, a person who folds a thousand origami cranes is granted a wish. A Thousand Cranes, will be hosted to raise funds to support the Japanese Disaster Relief Fund Boston, as well as bring hope to the people of Japan who have been affected by the tsunami. A Thousand Cranes will feature exclusive performances by Kuranaga and Boston Ballet company dancers. The program will include performances of Boyko Dossev's Crane and Helen Pickett's Tsukiyo. 7NEWS reporter, Janet Wu, will emcee the evening. All proceeds will benefit The Japanese Disaster Relief Fund - Boston. Suggested donation of $100 per person
