Sweet, the Breath of Children
12th Avenue Drama's premier production, SWEET, THE BREATH OF CHILDREN, is a dark comedy about a fledgling psychologist who finds himself opposite a Valium-addicted nanny and a pair of sisters who are painfully aware of their parents' extramarital activities. An original work by local playwright Neil Ferron, directed by Suzannah Rogan.
"A lighthearted play Sweet, the Breath of Children is not. An intense and visceral play it is. Written by premiering playwright Neil Ferron, Sweet is a punch in the stomach that somehow makes you want more."
--Nigel Andrews, Broadway Hour
"This dark comedy from a promising young playwright makes a compelling night at the theater."
--Nancy Worssam, The Seattle Times
"[Sweet, the Breath of Children] will leave your right eyebrow raised and your mouth open."
--Daniel Sladky, Seattle Weekly
