Destruction by M Lamar
DESTRUCTION is a song of mourning for what Anthony Paul Farley calls "the "motionless movement of death through slavery, segregation and neo-segregation.' It is this black death that has inspired M. Lamar's newest music theater  piece for male soprano and piano DESTRUCTION. Drawing from the apocalyptic/end times/ rapture themes in Negro Spirituals to explore the most radical of US negro's long held and continued call for an end to the current world order which is synonymous with white supremacy. DESTRUCTION is a is a futuristic salvaging of the negro spirit in a destroyed western world in flames.
