Solo Piano Concert with Lee Bartley and Joseph Akins with guest Walter Knapp. Enjoy an evening of spectacular piano music from these three pianists as they perform their original compositions.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Lee Bartley (as the principle composer) has released 6 CDs nationally with the classical jazz group, "Images", including CDs for both MCA and Capitol Records. He has also released two solo piano CDs (Adrift in Time, and, A View From Above) the second of which was "CD of the Year" on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio for 2010. He has performed at the Riverbend Music Festival, the Catalina Jazz Festival and the West Palm Beach Jazz Festival, sharing billings with Kenny G., Wynton Marsalis, Spyro Gyro and Ramsey Lewis. He has performed solo piano concerts with David Nevue, Liz Story, Lisa Downing, Joseph Akins, and Kathleen Ryan. He consistently receives international airplay of his classical solo piano art songs in Canada, Germany, Japan, England, and several other countries throughout the world. www.leebartley.com
Joseph Akins (pronounced "Ache-ins") has released three solo piano albums titled Keys to the Heart, Masterpeace and Spirit Touch. The latter was selected by critic Kathy Parsons as one of the top 20 solo piano albums of the last decade. Joseph tours the country performing his heartfelt music in churches, homes and performance halls often sharing the stage with piano artists such as David Lanz, Liz Story and David Nevue. Walter Knapp grew up in Tanzania, East Africa, the son of American missionaries. He began his music studies at the age of five and was accepted as a student at the Nairobi Conservatory of Music in Kenya when he was thirteen years old. At the age of fourteen, he won first place in the Bach Contest Masters Degree from Samford Univsersity in Birmingham, Alabama, where he won the Concerto-Aria competition and performed with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as guest pianist. Mr. Knapp has recorded a disk of his hymn arrangements entitled How Great Thou Art for Yamaha Disklavier, which sells internationally. Having given concerts and appeared as guest artist for many conventions and workshops throughout the United States, Walter is known for his extraordinary gift of classical arranging and performance of sacred works.
